“PickleSquash” is an engaging and dynamic game where students use pickleball paddles to aim at a variety of cartoon pickleball characters, including the game’s mascot, Spike Dillster, all of which are displayed on a wall with Velcro backs. Each character is assigned a specific point value, adding a competitive twist to the game. The players take turns using their paddles to carefully hit these characters. When a character is hit, it can be removed from the wall, and the player earns the corresponding points. However, there’s a catch: if a player accidentally hits Spike Dillster’s paddle, they lose 25 points. This rule adds an extra layer of challenge and strategy to the game. The goal is to accumulate the highest score by knocking down the characters, skillfully avoiding Spike’s paddle. This activity not only fosters hand-eye coordination but also encourages strategic thinking, making it a fun and educational experience for students in a group setting.
