SHAPE America has proudly revealed its 2026 Adapted Physical Education District Teachers of the Year — a powerful reminder of the outstanding educators shaping inclusive physical education across the country.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Tyler Hetland (Central District) – Fargo, ND
  • Korey Kleinhans (Midwest District) – Oshkosh, WI
  • Sharon Gregory (Southern District) – Stanardsville, VA
  • Chris Ahrens (Western District) – San Diego, CA
