The Oklahoma School for the Deaf offers a free, self-paced online course titled “American Sign Language 1” for Spring 2024. This course, running from February 12th until June 30th, consists of 8 lessons covering the basics of ASL, including the manual alphabet, vocabulary, sentence structure, and cultural notes on interacting with the Deaf community. With 38 lessons and 5.5 hours of video content, it provides a comprehensive introduction to ASL, encouraging donations to the OSD Foundation in lieu of tuition.
