Adapted Ballet Lesson Grade Level: Appropriate for all ages and abilities at home or at school

Objective:

  • To provide an inclusive ballet lesson that accommodates various levels of physical ability.
  • To engage students in an adapted ballet video and offer support and encouragement throughout.

Materials Needed:

  • Access to a pre-recorded adapted ballet video (provided separately)
  • Appropriate dance attire (optional)
  • Space to move comfortably

Duration: 20 minutes

Lesson Plan:

  1. Introduction (2 minutes):
    • Begin the lesson by welcoming the students and explaining the objective of the adapted ballet lesson.
    • Emphasize that this lesson is inclusive and suitable for students of all abilities.
    • Briefly discuss the importance of ballet as a form of artistic expression and physical activity.
  2. Main Activity (20 minutes):
    • Play the pre-recorded adapted ballet video.
